Zoom back to before RoAriel and John-asmine, there was a 4th bitch with Wicked, Mulan and Caurora, let's call her "4th", she was an exchange student from America. It was the year they first broadcasted SATC season 5, White Mulan met Wicked at a university event; and Caurora met 4th, while 4th and Wicked were classmates. The four of them decided, Wicked was Samantha; Caurora was Marinda; Mulan was Charlotte and 4th was Carrie.
The years had proven us wrong: 4th had been in a committed relationship since returning to America and became Charlotte plus a bit of domestic queen; if Mulan don't work on her social life since moving to the suburb, she'd be like the sex-less Marinda or worst, become what we may refer as Nothing-and-the-City; Caurora had become Martha Stewart without the jail sentence and made her domestic skills a small business moonlighting outside her day job.
As for Wicked. She know she was never Samantha, but she wished to be like her. She wish she is as successful of a lioness who stands amongs the men and they would fear and respect her - she is still working hard to get the mere respect in her industry, although she is proud of how far her wicky bitchiness had gotten her so far. Wicked is socially hyper-active, but it wouldn't make her a PR executive who gets front row seat at a fashion show, must note that the hyper-active social skilled is indeed enough to locate good friends to be around with.
She is dating a younger man, but can Wicked hold on to her judgements and ability to focus on other goals in life - that is a question waiting to be answered.
Why don't Wicked sees Samantha as a fictional role model, and with a bit of Carrie and Charlottle, and a little bit of 4th, Mulan, Caurora, John-asmine and RoAriel, and a bit of toughness of Marinda; and her own past and present, let that become her? Caurora's right, she's not Samantha, because Samantha is fictional, Wicked is real.
Do you think fiction imitates life or does life imitate fiction? This will always be a question. But fictions like SATC had brought the bitches together, it seeded the friendship, the rest would be up to us, it was very sad that the 4th left and returned to her home country, but if none of us ever keep moving, we will only be living an unsatisfying life trying to satisfy our own fictional fantasy. If we were as crazy as to try to keep ourselves parallel to SATC, should the bitches vote 1 out to maintain 4? We took our future in our hands and try to maneuver into the directions that we wanted.
